Positions Available at Center for Advanced Study, Tsinghua University, Beijing

 

The Center for Advanced Study at Tsinghua University (Beijing), modelled after Princeton's Institutute for Advanced Study, was established in 1997. It offers good working environment for academics to pursue independent studies of their own choice. Having moved in early 2007 into the renovated Science Hall in the historical Qing Hua Yuan in the heart of the University campus, the Center has a number of positions available in theoretical physics, all with three-year term appointments, renewable for a second three-year term. The positions, preferably in areas of condensed matter physics and cosmology/astrophysics, are at the levels of Member and Associate Member of the Center. Depending on experience, the total package of annual compensation for Member is in the range of RMB$150,000 to RMB$250,000, and for Associate Member in the range of RMB$100,000 to RMB$150,000.
